Abstract

The variation of enthalpy per unit mass of ice, generated by melting of ice in aqueous solution, was defined as "latent heat of ice in aqueous solution". The calculating method of "latent heat of ice in aqueous solution", using apparent latent heat, nearly no variation of IPF, was presented. Additionally, the experiment of adding ice into solution, and calorimetrical analysis using DSC were performed, in order to compare with the results of this calculation. Finally, since these values obtained by the measurements and by the calculation well agreed with each other, the calculating method proposed in this study was proved to be adequate.
