Abstract
Conducted 2 studies on the quality of various helping behaviors and the relationship among personality traits, sex and the quality of these helping behaviors. Human Ss: 30 normal male and female Japanese adults (undergraduate students) (Study 1). 106 normal male and female Japanese adults (undergraduate students) (Study 2). In Study 1, Ss rated the desirability, costs and effects on self-esteem of 10 helping behaviors. In Study 2, Ss were administered a questionnaire on empathy, self-exhibitionism, perseverance and social extraversion. (English abstract) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
