The comparison of routines for solving fredholm integral equations of the second kind

Abstract

We describe a test package for the comparative testing of automatic and non-automatic integral equation solving routines, and give results obtained for a number of recent routines for solving linear Fredholm equations of the second kind. The methodology used is based on that described by Lyness and Kaganove (1977) for automatic quadrature routines. © 1980 The British Computer Society.
