Abstract

In this article I intend to expose Thomas of Aquino’s main ideas written in his book De regimine principum (On princes’ regime) and to comment upon those related with the conteporary political philosophy. Among the ideas defended by Thomas of Aquino coming back to our culture, I appoint the following: the idea of Common Good, present in the communitaristic philosophy; the idea of Distributive Justice (John Rawls and Amartya Sen); and the idea of Just State, not only Legitimate one.
