Abstract

Smart gas stove with inbuilt safety features reduces the risk of accidents and increases personal safety. This paper focuses on a smart gas stove by adding a device to the conventional gas stove used in a general household, to make it smart. This device helps in adding additional features such as automatic on/off, controlling of gas flames, gas leakage detection, timer-based operation, bluetooth based remotely controlled operation, whistle counter detection system and also controlled specific dish cooking such as Maggi, Pasta, etc. This device works in three different modes namely bluetooth control, timer control and leakage detection mode. With the help of timer-based operation, undercooking/overcooking is avoided, thereby minimizing gas usage. Furthermore, all these features help in automation in the kitchen, making the gas stove more user-friendly, convenient and risk-free. This device is tested for all the above-mentioned features and results are presented in the paper.
