Molecular hydrogen in the atmosphere of Mars

Abstract

Attention is directed to the destruction of H//2 by reaction with CO//2 positive ion in the Martian ionosphere. It is shown that nearly all the H//2 flowing into the ionosphere is converted into H and escapes in the latter form.
