Abstract

There is provided compds. of formula I assocd. with metal, org. amines or amino acids, formula II. Such compds. are useful in the treatment of diseases in which inhibition of the activity of a lipoxygenase (e.g. 15-lipoxygenase) is desired and/or required, and particularly in the treatment of inflammation. Compds. of formula II (= I•Y) wherein X1 and X2 are independently H, F, Cl, OCF3, CF3 and CHF2; provided that X1 and X2 both are not H; Y is metals, org. amines and amino acids; are claimed. Example compd. III•potassium salt was prepd. by condensation of 1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxylic acid 4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenylamide with potassium hydroxide. [on SciFinder(R)]
