The implementation of innovative activities is essential in the modern world for the development of enterprises and for them to maintain their competitive position. A special role is played by the level of spending on research and development activities, especially those related to new technologies. Companies are characterized by different propensities for this type of spending, which can be determined by various factors. The purpose of this article is to examine whether and how corporate R&D spending is influenced by other sectors' R&D spending and the level of digital literacy of society. The results indicate that there are correlations between the level of corporate R&D spending and the level of government and higher education spending, as well as the level of digital skills of society.
