Abstract

This paper analyzes the commerce and industry of the Diamantina in the years 1870-1920, emphasizing its regional projec- tion and their links with the mining. Here are discussed the factors that made fragile and temporary the condition of Diamantina like polarizing center of the North of Minas. The fonts used are mainly registry record and local newspapers.
