Abstract

Modern man considered himself lost in a world of illusion and in a multiplicity of objects, in search of a new guide. This article analyzes proposals for knowledge about the soul and the choice of methodology in the first modernity. The focus is on an analogy of the anatomy of the soul as a method for searching for knowledge about what the ego does not know, but which causes it, despite itself. © 2009 Associação Universitária de Pesquisa em Psicopatologia Fundamental.
