Abstract

T cells are critical in orchestrating the immune response and killing cells infected by pathogens. In 1989, Gross et al. ([1][1]) reported the experiments introducing the genetic code for an antibody recognition site into a cytotoxic T cell that imparted the ability to recognize a specific antigen.
