Abstract

Two Samoan patients with gut amyloidosis secondary to lepromatous leprosy were studied for 5 years. Intestinal ''pseudo obstruction'' and malabsorption were prominent early features. Evidence suggesting regression of the amyloid deposits following control of the leprosy included clinical, biochemical, radiological and histological data.
