Abstract

This article examines the legal standing of municipalities and regional governments in environmental courts. Although case law shows a notable extension of municipal interests, the standing to sue of regional governments still is not accepted. This article points out that this differentiation is unfounded, in accordance with the powers of regional governments and their recent legal modifications.
