Abstract

No abstract****The preservation of most of the Kansas specimens described here is unusual in that they are found on shells of the clam Inoceramus. This mode of preservation differs from that of the European and Tethyan fishes and, indeed, from that of most other Kansas chalk vertebrates and raises questions as to the manner of their accumulation after death.
