Abstract
At UPTC, one of the undergraduate work modalities is the realization of research projects with students in their last semester of each academic program through active participation in a Research Group institutionally recognized by the Research Department (DIN); This process includes the participation of the student as assistant, assistant or beginning researcher within the research group, for this, the student will formulate a work plan on a topic to be researched and must present it to the Curriculum Committee for approval, work that will end with the presentation and support of a research report, whose characteristics will be determined by the director of the research group. In this sense, it is important to emphasize that these projects have been experiences that have left good results in the University and that contribute to academic innovation with the development of products that leave a continuous teaching for other students and allow to continue with this habit; therefore, through this study we want to establish strategies that strengthen this modality of degree and that allow to adhere to more students, strengthening the research groups for the formation of young researchers.
