Abstract

WHO (World Health Organization) explains that the incidence of dysmenorrhea in the world is very large, namely that more than 50% of women of reproductive age in every country experience menstrual pain, both primary and secondary. Severe dysmenorrhea is a sign and symptom of diseases such as endrometiosis which can result in infertility or difficulty in having children (Sarwono, 2016). The lack of knowledge of young women regarding the management of dysmenorrheal pain can have a negative impact on the health of their reproductive organs. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of Abdominal Stretching Exercise with Classical Instruments on reducing the intensity of dysmenorrhea pain in young women at the Islamic Boarding School in Cilember Village, Bogor Regency in 2021. The design of this research used experimental research. This study has a One Shot Case Study design, namely a design where a group is given treatment. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling and statistical tests using the T-Test Dependent test. The total population of this study were 68 people and the number of samples who were menstruating and experiencing dysmenorrhea were 51 people. After carrying out statistical testing using the Dependent T Test, the results obtained were P value = 0.000 with a degree of significance < α = 0.005, which means that there was an effect of Abdominal Stretching Exercise with Classical Instruments on reducing menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in teenagers at the Islamic
