Abstract

Despite its abstract and ethereal character, music is one of the most important elements of our society. Constituted as a social fact - and with a remarkable repercussion - it articulates its development in relation to the other elements and actors of society. In our work we show, from interviews and a discussion group, what are the discourses on music and economy by the participants in the field of contemporary classical music: composers, directors, interpreters, cultural and public managers. In this way, we can see, in each case, what value is given and how each group is positioned versus the different types of capital. (English) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
