Abstract

Technologies for the treatment of animal wastes and their environmental and economic advantages are discussed. Current study involves data on poultry, cattle and swine wastes with emphasis on biodigester and compost technologies. Techniques are used to mitigate the emission of greenhouse gases and the degradation of the environment with possible financial return by selling of carbon credit in the international market through the Kyoto protocol.
