A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE PHENOLIC AND FLAVONOIDS CONTENTS, AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY OF ZIZIPHUS MAURITIANA’S LEAVES, RIPE AND UNRIPE FRUIT EXTRACTS FROM UAE

Abstract

This study evaluates the antioxidant properties of leaves, unripe and ripe fruits of Ziziphus mauritiana from the UAE. Phenolic compounds show a strong cor-relation with antioxidant activity, with the leaves exhibi-ting the highest efficiency. The results suggest that Zizi-phus mauritiana leaves are a promising source of natural antioxidants with potential therapeutic applications.
