Abstract
As in most mining enterprises, shaft sinking is an ongoing process at various points within the Gold Fields group. The following article highlights three of the major current developments: at Doornfontein, the neighboring mine, West Driefontein, and the recently proclaimed extension of Kloof, Leeudoorn.
