Abstract
For issues of energy crisis and global environmental pollution by greenhouse gases, polymers based on renewable resources have become increasingly important, contributing to building sustainable society. This review deals with recent development of bio-based polymers. Practical issues of biomass plastics, new biomass plastics, production of common plastics from biomass, polymeric materials from natural polymers, and plant oil-based polymers are mentioned .
