Abstract

To conclude this theme issue, a farmer who is vice president of the Franche-Comté FREDON (an organisation that orchestrates water vole control efforts) shares his experiences and goals: to use preventative measures to prevent vole outbreaks while simultaneously enhancing farm selfsufficiency (specifically by converting some grassland areas into croplands). He also presents some research in progress that shows promise when it comes to developing integrated control measures and establishing multipartner projects.
