All-optical logic

Abstract

For an optical computer one needs all-optical logic elements. We demonstrate in this publication how, on the basis of an integrated Mach-Zehnder interferometer, these logic elements can be built. The described concept realizes all possible logic operations solely with light. ©2010 Collegium Basilea.
