Abstract

Background: Intoxication resulting in severe derangements in the neurological and cardiovascular systems can be life threatening and it is important to know how to stabilise and support affected patients. Aim of the article: This article is the second in a series of four. It discusses specific toxicants that affect the neurological and cardiovascular systems and outlines principles for managing patients presenting with the consequences of intoxication.
