Abstract
An improved procedure for the isolation in bulk quantities of the minor isomer of [70]-N-MEM ketolactam (6) is described. Treatment of this with a large excess of p-TsOH affords, for the first time, the second isomer of (C69N)2 (II) which is fully characterized.
