This case study examines the development of systems, structures, tools, and processes created in a cross-sector network of nonprofits. The evolution of the Brico Fund's funding strategy is juxtaposed with the development of the network, revealing a unique funder/ organization symbiosis, each relying on the other to provide expertise. Early funding, a commitment to partnership and transparent relationships, and tolerance for learning and mistakes are key to success.
