Konflik dan Kekerasan di Pesantren: Studi Kasus Penanganan Bullying dan Kekerasan Seksual di Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Blokagung

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the conflicts and violence that occur in the pesantren environment, focusing on cases of bullying and sexual violence. The main purpose of this study is to identify the factors that cause bullying and sexual violence, understand the impact it has on victims, and evaluate the effectiveness of prevention and handling mechanisms in Islamic boarding schools. The research method used is a qualitative case study with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with victims, perpetrators, pesantren administrators, and other related parties. In addition, participatory observation and document analysis were also carried out to strengthen the validity of the data. The analysis uses interactive 3 Mailes and Huberman models. The results of the study show that factors such as power imbalance, lack of supervision, permissive environment towards violence, and stigma against victims is the main cause of bullying and sexual violence in Islamic boarding schools. The impacts include psychological trauma, mental health disorders, and decreased academic achievement. The contribution of this research is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of conflict and violence in Islamic boarding schools, as well as their implications for the welfare of students. In addition, this study also offers constructive recommendations for improving the mechanism for preventing and handling cases of bullying and sexual violence in Islamic boarding schools, so that it can create a safe and comfortable environment for all students
