Abstract
Growth and/or collapse of bubbles in boiling is accompanied by the generation of sound. This phenomenon is boiling acoustic emission (BAE). The power spectral density (PSD) of the BAE changes with a change in the heater diameter, and the PSD shifts to the high frequency side for small heater elements.
