Abstract

The rigidity of standpoints around animal experimentation has thwarted the possibility of reaching a common ground. Therefore, from the legal, political, and ethical perspective, the commitment with a growing group of people who believe in a cruelty free science must be enhanced. It is precisely to encourage these people, and hoping that empathy in science is capable of going beyond the merely human, that these voices could be supported from an ethics of care approach.
