Abstract

Early Childhood Education has not been effective in most parts of the world, especially Sub Saharan Africa, and Kenya in particular; as it focuses mostly on the academic part and less effort is put conclusively to ensure comprehensive development of the child. This study sought to establish the influence of children safety on delivery of early childhood education. The specific objective of this study was to determine the influence of children safety on delivery of early childhood education in Mwatate Sub County, of Taita Taveta County in Kenya. The target population of this study was 6,217 individuals from which a sample size of 361. This research established a significant relationship between children safety and delivery of early childhood education. The study found that children safety influenced delivery of early childhood education positively by a 0.167 factor. The study established that children safety increased early school attendance and contributed significantly to their performance in schools. Unsafe school facilities endangered pupils' life while in schools and lack of children safety makes some pupils to be late in school. The findings of this study would contribute greatly towards development of realistic value expectations for children. The researcher suggests more studies to be carried out in different counties to find out the validity and reliability of the study's findings.
