Abstract
The purpose of this study was to measure the level of understanding of the Sukabungah Village community about electrical hazards and the necessary safety measures. This study used a survey to measure residents' understanding of electrical Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) and to raise their awareness of the issue. The results showed that the community's understanding of electrical hazards was low. Many respondents do not know the proper precautions, such as the safe use of electrical equipment, standardized electrical installations, and handling electricity-induced emergencies. In addition, many people are unaware of the risks of electricity, which increases the possibility of accidents or fires due to negligence in the use of electricity. However, after the socialization of K3 Electricity, people's awareness of electrical safety increased. People began to understand the importance of taking precautions, such as not using damaged cables, avoiding excessive electrical plugs, and the importance of checking electrical installations regularly. The results show that electrical safety education and campaigns can significantly reduce the risk of electrical accidents, although this improvement is still new. Consequently, this study shows that continuous public education and outreach campaigns are essential to improve people's understanding and awareness of electrical hazards
