Abstract

The article discusses several ways to generate positive energy in the workplace during a severe economic downturn. It cites that leadership can create an atmosphere of positive and creative energy wherein people are guided to focus on things that make them feel useful and productive other than their woes and worries. It emphasizes that higher executives should assure their employees of a competent leadership that can survive unstable times. It stresses the importance of focusing on positive, significant, and creative activities. It also suggests establishing a forum for honest two-way communication to create a work environment protected from the chaos of difficult times.
