Abstract
In the present work, a study of the different types of stability that are present in Electrical Power Systems (SEP) was carried out, taking into account their physical nature, size of the disturbance and time scale, with emphasis on small-signal oscillatory phenomena. In order to improve the stability of small signals, the adjustment of the power stabilizer 2B, proposed by the IEEE, which is not implemented in the tool, is implemented using the Simulink tool of Matlab version R2017a, the one proposed in Kundur (1993). The behavior of the model presented before a disturbance is compared with models already implemented in the tool, observing a better behavior and reliability.
