Abstract

The purposes of this video article are to show the normal anatomy of the elbow as visualized with ultrasound and to appreciate the role of a standardized scanning technique. The elbow is divided in quadrants, and in practice one of the quadrants is scanned in accordance with the clinical findings. Standard positioning and landmarks are helpful in performing a standardized protocol in examinations of the elbow and will aid in diagnosing pathologic changes.
