Abstract

The term cloud in computation means network or Internet operating at remote location. The cloud is generally serviced over public or private or hybrid network types through WAN, LAN or VPN. Cloud computing in cloud environment is generally a process of manipulating, configuring and accessing the cloud services remotely. The underlying three models in cloud computing are Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS) are all the type of services. The paper highly focuses on calculating the cost that involves while adopting cloud infrastructure service: Virtualization that helps in the development of business strategies. We also provided a detailed overview on how to choose virtual machines instances based on the business requirements. We also presented a working model of Microsoft Azure and on top of it we applied Microsoft Azure Pricing Calculator (MAPC) scheme on top of working model of Microsoft Azure. The experiment is performed in real time Microsoft Azure and obtained the cost for different types of configurations settings of virtual machines. The results are well captured during the calculation of virtual machines instances.
