Abstract

This paper presents the results of a survey conducted on the performanceof local maintenance practices. The client base of a leading assetmanagement consultancy was used as the basis for the survey. The sampleincluded a diversity of enterprises across the local industry.Maintenance-related data for 2004 was statistically analyzed; it ispresented here in three categories relating to maintenance performance:planning and resource usage, maintenance tactics and time distribution,and performance monitoring and reporting. The aim of the results is toserve as performance benchmarks for the local industry, which will aidin setting targets and identifying initiatives for improvement.
