Abstract

The Family Health teams do not produce goods, but services that are processed in large part by an immaterial labor, derived from contact between organizations, teams, professional and patients, the actions and interactions that constitute these relationships. The purpose of this study is to understand the process of interprofessional collaboration in the context of the work of the Support Center for Family Health (NASF). This is a case study with ethnomethodological approach, analyzing the relational features in the everyday work process using participant observation techniques. We realized nine observations, in collective meetings, among six teams from a large city in the Northeast region of Brazil. The study found five categories which contribute to a deeper understanding about the collaborative processes, and also identified areas in the operation of the NASF, in need of interventions and improvements.
