Abstract

The fate of foreign particulate matter injected into the body fluids has now been reported for a number of invertebrate animals, using thorium dioxide in the form of ""Thorotrast"" as the foreign material. The experiments reported here were designed partly to extend this series and partly in order to discover whether the small, segmental nephridia of Sabellastarte were functional or not.
