Abstract

Showcases of the protection of Intellectual Property, software and content, from Schlumberger (Petrel), Ikon Science, TNO and Plaxis. The different ways to protect non-managed code and content. Introduction to the new challenges in protecting C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET and JAVA code against reverse engineering and illegal use. Samples of cracks together with a summary of the different counter measures from different suppliers to avoid software being tampered with. By using the right tools and encryption techniques like AES it can be made virtually impossible to decompile the code. Different parts/classes can be protected with different algorithms and usage counters. Only the customers with the right key get controlled access to the application.
