Abstract

Angiosarcoma arising in the pulmonary artery is extremely rare. We herein report a case of angiosarcoma arising in the pulmonary artery trunk of 71 year-old woman. This case was clinically diagnosed as pulmonary thromboembolism but angiosarcoma of the pulmonary artery should be considered as the differential diagnosis of unusual clinical manifestations of pulmonary thromboembolism because of the extremely poor prognosis of the lesion. © The authors.
