When Baby Boomers began entering the federal workforce more than 40 years ago, they were welcomed into a workplace that embraced the idea of apprenticeship and knowledge transfer. Fresh off of the counterculture revolution, Boomers were eager to make a difference in running their country and they were racing to answer President John F. Kennedy's call to government service.
