Abstract

Within the HILAS project two experiments in high fidelity flight simulators were performed. In the current paper results from one of those experiments are discussed. Focus of that discussion is on the added value of using a set of HF tools rather than individual tools and on a number of lessons that were identified from this experiment. The set of Human Factors tools that was applied in this experiment might be helpful for manufacturers of flight deck technologies or aviation authorities to establish whether new technologies should receive the predicate "Human factors certified". © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
