Abstract

A list of 114 spider species collected between 22 and 31 July 1998 at 13 localities of western Slovenia is given. Three genera and eleven species are new to the fauna of Slovenia. A result of an investigation into spider species richness, the fourth in a series of such experiments in Slovenian forests, indicates that the surveyed forest near the village Črniče in Vipava valley is rather rich in species (85-107 species).Med 22. in 31. julijem 1998 je bilo na 13 lokalitetah zahodne Slovenije nabranih 114 vrst pajkov.
