FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERPENGARUH TERHADAP KEPATUHAN PENGOBATAN PENDERITA TB PADA PROGRAM “COMMUNITY TB CARE” AISYIYAH KOTA MAKASSAR

Abstract

This research focuses on factors affecting compliance to Tuberculosis (TB) treatment at Aisyiyah's Community TB Care in Makassar. It aims to analyse factors influencing compliance levels to tuberculosis treatment at Aisyiyah's Community TB Care in Makassar. This quantitative study used cross sectional survey method. Research was conducted in February to May 2018 in Makassar. This is a census survey involving 128 TB patients registered in the treatment process at Aisyiyah's Community TB Care. Data were collected through questionnaires, documentation study, and observation. The most important result showed predictive factors having significant effect on compliance levels to TB treatment consisted of individual characteristics, patients' perceptions, health communications, facilitator roles, and socioeconomic support. Meanwhile, factors of patients' perceptions on TB reflected by indicators of perceived barriers and self efficacy significantly affect cpmpliance to TB treatment.
