Abstract
Pain during childbirth is a physiological thing, every woman showed a different response-different or excessive. Based on preliminary data in March 2012 found there were 11 (89%) experienced a negative response at delivery. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the sensation of labor pain management using massage method efflurage.This study aims to identify the effectiveness of massage efflurage to the reduction of labor pain in primiparousmother. The study design using preexperiment.The populationmothers primiparous laboringin sub Poto'an Laok period in May 2012. The sampling technique using the accidentalsampling.Large sample 8 people. Data were analyzed usingtest Wilcoxonmatch pairtest with a degree of error of 0.05.massage independent variables Efflurage and the dependent variable when the sensation of labor pain. The results showed that the labor pain before the massage efflurage pain was 62.5%. Meanwhile, after the massage efflurage be mild pain, 62.5%. Statistical analysis showed that H1 is accepted that ρ <0.05).massagemeans Efflurage effectiveto reducing the sensation of pain first stage of labor inbirth primiparousmothers. For that provisionmassage efflurage can be used as an intervention in managing the sensation of labor pain as a form of maternal affection care in maternity care.
