Abstract

This article deals with the popular contemporary television narrative from an analysis of the daily talk show presented by Cristina Ferreira on the SIC channel until July 17th 2020. The success of Cristina's Program is framed from a historical point of view, establishing continuity with the work of Nelson Traquina, Big Show Media (1997). Cristina Ferreira is a celebrity of popular Portuguese television and builds in her show a gender performance grounded in the paradoxical logic of post-feminism. Her versatility is visible in the transversality of the dissemination strategy of the TV program on social networks, namely in Instagram and Facebook, where the audiences are broadened through the instrumental mobilization of other digital influencers.
