Abstract
Abstrak Stabilitas obat terhadap proses pembuatan sediaan sangat perlu diperhatikan karena akan menentukan kualitas sediaan obat yang dihasilkan baik efek terapeutik maupun keamanan sediaan obat tersebut. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mempelajari stabilitas asiatikosida selama proses pembuatan film penutup luka kitosan yang mengandung asiatikosida. Sampel uji disiapkan dengan mendispersikan asiatikosida dalam aquadest 35 ml (SA1) dan 55 ml (SA2), serta dalam bahan pembentuk film BPF1 35 ml dan BPF2 55 ml. Suspensi asiatikosida dikeringkan menggunakan oven pada temperatur 60 o C selama 26.5 jam untuk SA1 dan BPF1 dan 47 jam untuk SA2 dan BPF2. Asiatikosida dalam sampel ditentukan kadarnya dengan menggunakan kromatografi cair kinerja tinggi (KCKT) dengan metode elusi gradient. Hasilnya menunjukkan kadar asiatikosida dalam SA1, SA2, BPF1, dan BPF2 berturut-turut 94.59%, 96.42%, 92.24%, dan 97.62%. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa asiatikosida stabil selama proses pembuatan film penutup luka kitosan. Abstract Drug stability during preparation process is very noteworthy because it will determine the quality of drug productproduced both therapeutic effect and safety of the drug. Therefore, this research was conducted to study the stability of asiaticoside during preparation process of chitosan wound dressing containing asiaticoside. The samples were prepared by dispersing asiaticoside in 35 ml (SA1) and 55 ml (SA2) of distilled water and 35 ml (BPF1) and 55 ml (BPF2) liquid film-forming. Asiaticoside suspensions were drying using oven on temperature 60 o C for 26.5 hours for SA1 and BPF1 and 47 hours for SA2 and BPF2. Asiaticoside content in the samples were determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) using elution gradient method. The result showed that asiaticoside content in SA1, SA2, BPF1, and BPF2 were respectively 94.59%, 96.42%, 92.24%, and 97.62%. The conclusion was that asiaticoside was stable during preparation process of chitosan wound dressing containing asiaticoside.
