Abstract
Getting acquointed with students' representation seems a crucial step in order to favour the acquisition of scientific knowledge. It is high time we started research on what to do with these representations: Should we enrich them, displace them, reject them, transform them? Which is the role of teachers, of the different defenders of knowledge and the available mean on each occasion?
