Abstract

In this contribution to the ongoing early discussions about mobile and personal projectors we assess the state of the art using our grounding in previous user-centred work in urban environments, virtual heritage and museums. From this assessment we isolate the projector phone as a uniquely interesting new device and put forward a series of discussion points relating to three key conceptual issues of projector phone applications. In order to drive the discussion further we also suggest two innovative applications for the projector phone that expand the existing application domain into interesting new areas.
