Agomelatine: More than just another antidepressant

Abstract

Professor Anthony Hale, Consultant Psychiatrist and Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Kent, reviewed some recent trial data for agomelatine at a Servier Laboratories-sponsored satellite meeting at the Latest Advances in Psychiatry Symposium IX held in London in March 2010. Professor Hale explained how his views about the drug and its place in therapy have changed as a result of the new data. Steve Titmarsh reports.
